The removed wood was stashed on piles and left as is in areas where it does not obstruct tracks both on foot and cycling.

On our way from the spring we found a tree suspended over a track and dealt with it in order to prevent injuries when it decides to fall on somebody.

]]> Mud removal from Pekarka https://pekarka.eu/en/mud-removal-from-pekarka/ Wed, 16 Nov 2022 23:55:28 +0000 https://pekarka.eu/?p=309 In the past two weeks we managed to remove a significant amount of mud, wood and fallen trees around the pond inlet. As a result there are couple mud piles that will be used to further improve the pond area once the mud dries enough.As of now some of it was used to fill in holes around the inlet and the remainder is waiting for its chance.

There is a slight inlet adjustment, it is now shorter and thanks to bypassing the swampy area it reaches the pond faster and is cleaner.

During the pond cleanup we found number of bottles, concrete, plastic and other trash that does not belong inside the pond or around. Recyclables have been sorted, returnable bottles have been returned and we will continue the cleanup as weather and time permits.

We are not afraid to grab trash bags, gloves, saws, brooms and personally change what we do not like in our surroundings.
